Orthopedic Trauma Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Willing to Train

The ideal candidate will be experienced inmanaging orthopedic trauma patients across the continuum of care—from initialconsults to post-operative follow-ups—and comfortable working in a fast-paced,team-oriented hospital setting.<o:p></o:p>Responsibilities:<o:p></o:p><ul type="disc"> <li class="MsoNormal">Perform inpatient and emergency room consultations for orthopedic trauma cases<o:p></o:p></li> <li class="MsoNormal">First assist in the operating room with trauma and acute orthopedic surgical procedures<o:p></o:p></li> <li class="MsoNormal">Conduct pre-op and post-op patient evaluations and rounding<o:p></o:p></li> <li class="MsoNormal">Perform procedures such as joint reductions, splinting, and wound care<o:p></o:p></li> <li class="MsoNormal">Collaborate with trauma surgeons, orthopedic staff, and multidisciplinary teams<o:p></o:p></li> <li class="MsoNormal">Accurately document patient care in the electronic medical record (EMR) system<o:p></o:p></li> <li class="MsoNormal">Participate in care coordination, discharge planning, and patient education<o:p></o:p></li> <li class="MsoNormal">Rotate coverage including days, nights, weekends, and holidays as required<o:p></o:p></li></ul>Qualifications:<o:p></o:p><ul type="disc"> <li class="MsoNormal">Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant<o:p></o:p></li> <li class="MsoNormal">Current Arizona licensure (or eligibility to obtain prior to start)<o:p></o:p></li> <li class="MsoNormal">Orthopedic or trauma surgery experience required (preferred: 1+ years)<o:p></o:p></li> <li class="MsoNormal">BLS and ACLS certification required<o:p></o:p></li> <li class="MsoNormal">DEA registration (or ability to obtain)<o:p></o:p></li> <li class="MsoNormal">Strong clinical decision-making, procedural skills, and ability to work independently<o:p></o:p></li></ul>Goodyear, AZ offersyear-round sunshine, affordable living, outdoor recreation, and quick access toPhoenix metro amenities, making it a great place to live and work.<o:p></o:p>

We are lookingfor a dedicated Trauma Acute Care Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join ourdynamic team at a bustling Level 1 (ACS Level 2) facility in Tucson, Arizona.In this role, you will be an essential part of a team that manages all acuteorthopedic requirements, including handling high-energy trauma cases such aspelvis and acetabulum injuries. <o:p></o:p>Schedule: Full timeposition consisting of 183 10-hour shifts annually. Shifts start at 6:30 am andend at 4:30 pm.
