The department members serve as teaching faculty for Stanford residents in all areas except for podiatry and dental and hold affiliated clinical faculty appointment.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>About the Position</strong></p> <p>The Division of General Surgery is composed of 9 full time surgeons and a few extra help surgeons who provide acute care surgery, trauma surgery and elective general surgery services to the institution.&nbsp; A subset also provides surgical critical care coverage.&nbsp; The Chief of the Division plays an integral role in the department and is responsible for both administrative and clinical oversight of the division. The successful candidate will possess prior leadership experience, an ability to work collaboratively and have a strong interest in quality improvement and programmatic development.</p> <p>Clinical responsibilities will include acute care surgery and trauma surgery. dedicated administrative time and leadership differential is provided.
